Signature Project Instructions – Gmail
1. To begin with, select a month on the left drop down and then
select your favorite banner and then right-click to Copy image URL
2. Open up Gmail and go to the settings tab on the right hand
side. Scroll down and click on Settings.
3. Now scroll down to about 3/4 of the page until you reach the
Signature section:
4. Optional: Click on the checkbox to keep your signature
prominent in your emails (recommended):
5. Click on the Insert Image icon
6. Paste (CTRL+V or right-click and Paste) the URL you copied
from Step #1. You will see the image populate in the box. Click OK.
7. Optional: To resize your banner, click on the banner image
in the Signature section and select Large:
8. The next thing you will do is embed a clickable link into
the banner to drive them to the landing page where the content lives. First you
need to go back to http://forms.marinsoftware.com/email-signature.html and click on Generate URL! for
the banner of your choice.
9. Return back to the Gmail Signature section and simply
click or highlight the banner and then click on the Link icon.
10. In the Web address section, paste (CTRL+V or right-click
and Paste) the URL you generated from Step #7. Click OK.
11. When you are done, scroll all the way to the bottom and
click on Save Changes. Now you want to test to see that the banner and
link actually works as a part of your signature. Go ahead and send yourself an
e-mail by clicking on Compose on the top left hand side. Open your e-mail you sent to yourself and
click on the image. It should work and direct you to the correct page. You are
done!
